Moving forward monthly we’ll be updating our own top 40 prospect rankings for the Red Sox organization.
The qualifiers:
-the players cannot have any MLB experience.
-No Dominican Summer League players (they get their own top 10).
-List determined by the mysterious and shadowy counsel of three known only as the “Red Sox Prospects Illuminati”.
On that note, here is the Beyond the Monster Red Sox prospects rankings for June 2025.
Write ups to come. This page is still a work in progress.

17. Johanfran Garcia- C (A)
16. Nelly Taylor- OF (A+): Athletic outfielder is an excellent defender with some power. Hit tool remains a question. (+4)
15. Yophery Rodriguez- OF (A+) -2
14. Yordanny Monegro- RHP (AA) +2
13. Miguel Bleis- OF (A+): Frustratingly electric talent has shown flashes of five-tools but has never been able to put them all together consistently. (-2)
12. Yoeilin Cespedes- INF (A): Intriguing young bat currently listed as a shortstop but without a true defensive home. (-2)
11. Justin Gonzalez- OF/1B (A): Big, strong teenager with surprising athleticism, excellent exit velo and a solid approach at the plate. +7
10. David Sandlin- RHP (AA): Hard throwing righty profiles more to some as a late-inning reliever but at least for now is still a starting pitcher. (-3)
9. Brandon Clarke- LHP (A+)- Big, elite fastball is still looking for secondaries but all the same has been dominant in his short professional career. (+3)
8. Payton Tolle- LHP (A+)- Big strong lefty with crazy extension and a big fastball. Questions about whether he’ll be able to be a starter remain and he’s still working on his secondaries. (+7)
7. Connelly Early- LHP (AA): Unheralded lefty has done nothing but pitch well as a pro. Ticked up his fastball velocity in 2025, throws tons of strikes, and has a solid changeup that works against hitters on both sides of the plate. (+2)
6. Jhostynxon “The Password” Garcia- OF (AAA): Surprisingly athletic for his size, Garcia has power and is a good fielder to the point that he was added to the 40-man roster to protect him from the Rule 5 draft. He’ll need to cut down on his strikeouts to move up to the next level. (+2)
5. Mikey Romero- SS (AA): 2022 first round pick returned to form last season after an injury plagued 2023. Good hitter has shown some pop and enough of a glove to stick middle-infield. (+1)
4. Juan Valera- RHP (A+): Started the 2025 as an 18-year-old at High-A. Starter’s build, throws 100 mph. Has the arsenal and build to stay in the starting rotation. (+1)
3. Luis Perales- RHP (AA)- Would be higher if not for mid-2024 Tommy John Surgery. Electric arm hit some national top 100 lists before the injury. (+1)
2. Franklin Arias- SS (A+): Above-average at just about everything, elite at none, but at the ripe age of 19 and already at High-A has plenty of room to grow. (+1_
1. Roman Anthony- OF (AAA): Creme of the crop has blasted through the system and seemingly can do it all at the ripe young age of 20. Five tool player who’s power and eye in particular stands out.
Dominican Summer League Ten
These are 10 DSL players to put on your radar. The stats at this level are basically comparable to American Legion, but these are notable players worth keeping an eye one.
