Bowers never appeared with the big league club but did play 20 games for the AHL Providence Bruins. He was originally acquire for goaltender Keith Kinkaid on February 25th earlier this year.
Walsh was originally drafted by the Devils in the third round (81st overall) of the 2017 NHL draft.
The 24 year old out of Framingham, has played in 174 AHL games recording 99 points (23 goals and 76 assists). The Harvard alumni stands at 6 feet and is 185 pounds.
