Brayan Bello, the Boston Red Sox top pitching prospect recorded his 100th strikeout of the season on Sunday afternoon with the Worcester WooSox.
On the evening, Bello struck out seven, to bring his total season number of strikeouts to 106. He now has 64 strikeouts at Triple-A and 42 strikeouts at Double-A prior to being promoted.
Bello worked five and two thirds of innings on Sunday walking three and allowing two runs on four hits prior to his exit before the sixth inning.
Bello struck out Eloy Jimenez once who is currently rehabbing with the Charlotte Knights. Jimenez also struck out two times against Bello on June 21.
Bello could potentially see a promotion to the big league club after the All-Star break in July.
