Bobby Dalbec homers in spring training debut
Red Sox first baseman Bobby Dalbec has always been a productive spring training hitter.
That trend continued on Saturday against the Braves.
Dalbec went to the opposite field in both of his at-bats. An approach the majority of the Red Sox hitters took to begin the game against Atlanta.
In the bottom of the second, Dalbec doubled to deep right field. He would later score on the Caleb Hamilton single to left field, giving the Red Sox an early 1-0 lead.
During Dalbec’s second at-bat, he crushed a two-run homer over the right field fence. Ramiel Tapia would score on the Dalbec home run, following his double to left field.
The right-handed slugger has always produced during spring training. Over 143 at-bats, Dalbec is hitting .273 with 12 homers and 34 RBIs in spring training games.
