The Greenville Drive escaped a late rally by Hickory on Sunday afternoon and walked away with a 3-1 victory with the bats of Alex Binelas and Nick Decker.
Binelas went one-for-four with a home run, his 13th of the year and drove in two runs on the evening. His home run came in the second inning and then in the fourth he produced an RBI groundout. He now has 41 RBI on the year.
Decker hit his fifth home run of the year in the third inning. With the solo fly he also drove in his 12th RBI of the year.
Wyatt Olds managed to work five and a third inning allowing one run on two hits while walking two and striking out six, earning his first win of the year for the Drive. Olds now is 1-5 and owns a 6.28 ERA on the year.
Tyler McDonough stole a base, it is his 12th of the year.
Greenville moves to 26-37 on the year and will start a new six-game series on Tuesday with Bowling Green.
