Pitching Matchup
Nathan Eovaldi will take the bump for the Sox against Gerrit Cole. This past season, Eovaldi went 11-9 with a 3.75 ERA in 32 starts. The Sox flame thrower struck out a career high 195 batters which was 53 away from the eventually CY Young winner Robbie Ray.
In case you needed a nice reminder of the last time Sox fans saw Cole, please see the tweet below.

Game One
The excitement from Red Sox Nation for the upcoming season is incredibly high. Story will make his team debut at second base and will be batting sixth. Devers will look to continue his hot spring after hitting five home runs. For one afternoon Sox fans, forget about the Devers and Bogaerts contract situations and enjoy the majesty of Opening Day. It’s almost time to play ball! Go Sox!
