The minor league regular season is coming to a close, but the Arizona Fall League isn’t that far off. The league announced the 2024 schedule on Wednesday, with Opening Day on Monday, Oct. 7, and the regular season continuing until Nov. 14.
The play-in semifinal, to be held at Scottsdale Stadium, will take place on Nov. 15. The championship game will be played the next day at Salt River Fields.
One of the changes to the AFL schedule this season is that Sundays are no longer league-wide days off. Instead, one game will be played on the four of five Sundays during the league’s six-week slate. The final Sunday game will be on Nov. 10; it will be a universal day off.
The AFL will hold its home run derby and Fall Stars game on Nov. 8 and 9, respectively, and it will be played at Sloan Park in Mesa. The derby was won by Kala’i Rosario, the Twins No. 21 overall prospect, according to MLB Pipeline.
The league has not announced rosters.
Here are the 2024 team assignments, which will be comprised of prospects from the following MLB organizations:
Glendale Desert Dogs: Cardinals, Dodgers, Phillies, Reds, White Sox
Mesa Solar Sox: Angels, Athletics, Cubs, Rays, Red Sox
Peoria Javelinas: Braves, Brewers, Mariners, Marlins, Padres
Salt River Rafters: D-backs, Nationals, Rockies, Twins, Yankees
Scottsdale Scorpions: Blue Jays, Giants, Mets, Pirates, Tigers
Surprise Saguaros: Astros, Guardians, Orioles, Rangers, Royals
The league will hold games in the following ballparks:

Goodyear will host a triple header and feature all three of the AFL’s matchups. In addition, the spring training ballpark for the Guardians and Reds will host single games on the first three Thursdays of the season.
American Family Fields in Maryvale, the spring ballpark of the Brewers, will be the site for two of the three games on Saturday, Oct. 26: Scottsdale vs. Surprise and Salt River vs. Peoria.
