Alec Bohm and the Phucking Phillies
Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm had a tough day at work on Monday
Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm had a bad case of the Mondays. Bohm made three errors over the first three innings of the game against the Mets. Following the case of the yips at the hot corner, the Philly Fanatics at Citizen Park cheered for Bohm after he made a routine play.
The camera crew caught Bohm mouth “I f-cking hate this place” to shortstop Didi Gregorius. Bohm’s comments began to go viral on social media which prompted the 25-year-old to address his comments following the game.

“I said it. Do I mean it? No,” Bohm said. “It’s a frustrating night for me, obviously. Made a few mistakes in the field. Look, these people, these fans, they just want to win. You heard it, we come back, they’re great. I’m just sorry to them. I don’t mean that.”
The Phillies third baseman said his “emotions got the best of him” and did not mean any offense toward the franchise or Philadelphia.

Bohm’s three errors occurred over the course of the first three innings. The Phillies third baseman has made 23 errors in three seasons with the club. Despite his Chuck Knoblauch like impression in the infield, Bohm owned up to his comments to the media. This will undoubtedly go over well with the passionate Phillies fanbase.
Here is a quick look at the three errors Bohm made. This one was from the first inning:

It’s rare for athletes to own up to issues for their play on the field and Bohm doing that following the game likely earned him bonus points to the Phillies faithful. We’ve all had moments at our jobs where we’ve mouthed something very similar.
Hopefully for Bohm, his teammates and the Phillies this bad case of the Mondays is a one off. If not, this behavior on the diamond will prompt Dave Dombrowski to ship this young kid to another franchise.
