We built the iconic 1959 Topps baseball set, and in this series, we’re going through every card to talk about the players, teams and people who made up major league baseball in 1959. Today, we’ll cover cards 394 through 400 in the set.
These include Elston Howard, the first Black player in Yankees history who won the 1963 American League MVP, and Jackie Jensen, who battled through personal adversity to win the 1958 American League MVP.
